Five black males in court for nearly cutting throat of Mrs Anita van Niekerk, 62, Limpopo --
2012-04-10 POTGIETERSRUST - Two men, Johannes Mathobela 20 and Lerato Mkomane, given bail of a mere R500 each. SAPS lt-col Ronel Otto said the five men suspected of nearly cutting Mrs van Niekerk's throat and killing her, were referred to trial to the Potgietersrust/Mokopane regional court on 2 May 2012. The two men on bail were also ordered to appear that day. They are accused of attacking, bludgeoning and badly injuring Mrs van Niekerk while also trying to cut her throat.
They only "stole" some cash and a cellphone.
Despite the excessive violence, the SAPS are treating this is just another 'ordinary robbery'.'
