Little girl, 6, found murdered in Turffontein: police searching for white man in white vehicle who picked her up and dumped her again:Body dumped in service lane. No arrest have been made. 5 April 2012 journalist: Lucky Thusi - BEDFORDVIEW - An unidentified young girl was found murdered in the service lane between Hay and Eloff streets, Turffontein, on Wednesday afternoon April 4. It is alleged a white man driving a white car took the child and killed her. According to one of the resident’s who was on the scene, the man frequents the area. "I had come home from work when I saw people gathering and police and an ambulance were at the scene.
Upon investigating I found out the body of a little girl of about six years had been found. "I heard this man lured the young girl into his car, took her away, then came back to dump her there," explained the eyewitness. Stanley Brook who lives next to scene where this incident happened said, "It’s been ages since I reported this service lane to be cleaned. I phoned Pikitup and I was told that they only pick up rubbish. "A councillor was alerted about this lane, however, nothing has been done," he said.Police confirmed the "incident". SAPS Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik from Booysens Police said they are still waiting for the report from the pathologist and gathering information from witnesses.
