‘Shoot the whites’ ANC cabinet, churchmen incite crowd
All day long on May 29 2012, millions of listeners across SA heard the banned ANC-hatespeech song Kill the Boer chanted by top black church leaders and ANC-cabinet members seen by millions in news-broadcasts: all this broohaha about Zuma’s penis is sweeping up the black population in a frenzy of hatespeech, as was seen outside Goodman’s gallery in Johannesburg yesterday…
Whites warned by SA cabinet ministers, all-powerful SA Communist Party leadership:
Yesterday’s siege at the Goodman gallery was led by ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, flanked by co-ruling Cosatu trade union movement leaders Sdumo Dlamini and Zwelinzima Vavi and SA Communist Party leaderBlade Nzimande, Deputy Health Minister Gwen Ramokgopa and ANC national executive committee senior member Tony Yengeni. Dlamini and Vavi ditched their central executive committee meeting at Cosatu House to be at the march. COSATU president Sdumo Dlamini has lashed out at liberals saying they were using "spooks" like former president FW de Klerk to undermine the ANC leadership. Nzimande warned: “white liberals who are disrespecting us and to all whites, we are saying enough is enough." Some 5,000 demonstrators were counted and most were bused by the ANC from provinces including Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Northern Cape. Some walked from nearby Zoo Lake to the gallery: - nhlabathih@sowetan.co.za http://www.sowetanlive.co.za/news/2012/05/30/enough-is-enough-blade-tells-whites On May 30 2012 the Goodman gallery reneged – agreeing to take down the painting’s picture from their website – even though more than 3,900,000 websites worldwide by now all show that picture, according to Google today. However the SA cabinet still is not happy: they demand that the painting be destroyed altogether - and not allowed to leave South Africa: it was sold for R16,000 to a German investor.

Hulle het my hande op my motorfiets vasgedruk, my valhelm afgehaal en my begin slaan.”

Twee ander verdagtes, 44 en 54 jaar oud, is kort daarna by ’n ander huis aangekeer.

"Trusting the police is becoming impossible,' says his sister Brenda Ross after launching 'Enough" petition campaign:

ENOUGH! is a movement for the people of South Africa, formed by the people of South Africa. We’ve had enough of police corruption, police harassment and police abuse.- Sign the Petition: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/enoughsa
Brenda Ross writes: ' ENOUGH! was inspired by the hijacking and abduction of my brother Ryan Pickford on May 11, 2012 by South African Policemen. Instead of being a victim he stood up and spoke out. He showed others that they should not tolerate the anarchy that is growing within our country.Police are meant to serve and protect you, not hijack you.We are aware that there are good, honest and committed policemen in this country; sadly they are far outweighed by the corrupt ones.We aim to unite as citizens of South Africa, and together to expose the corrupt police and bring them to justice. So enough of us need to raise our hands, share our stories and do something about it.

- Hijack victim Ryan Pickford, who had his car taken by the blue-light gang terrorising Joburgers, has raised a R100000 reward for the first person who can offer information that can help catch and convict the cops helping the suspects.
Pickford, who was hijacked just more than a week ago, has joined forces with his sister Brenda Ross to launch an awareness campaign, urging other victims to come forward. And they are offering R100 000 as a reward for anyone who can help nab the police assisting the gang that is terrorising the northern and eastern suburbs.
THERE ARE CORRUPT COPS: ADMITS SAPS:
Last week, top police officials announced that a series of hijackings by 'police impersonators' were connected, and that the syndicate must be receiving help from corrupt police officers who provide them with uniforms, bulletproof vests, blue lights and R5 police-issue rifles.
Police confirmed five separate incidents of drivers being falsely arrested and kidnapped by fully uniformed men driving a white Golf GTI fitted with blue lights in the past two weeks alone, with other incidents still being reported. In each case, the victims were stopped by the “police”, and driven across the city in their cars before being dumped – mostly unharmed.
HARASSED, HAD HIS CAR 'SEARCHED', HANDCUFFED, TAKEN TO BLUE-LIGHT VEHICLE:
Pickford had been to visit his wife and newborn son at Morningside Clinic and was on his way home when he was pulled over by men claiming to be police officers. After being harassed and having his car searched for a few minutes, Pickford was ordered to get out of his car.He was then handcuffed by the officers in full uniform, armed with R5 rifles and handguns. They led him to their car, and another man drove off in Pickford’s Porsche Cayenne.Once he was seated on the back seat of the blue-light vehicle, Pickford was informed that this was a hijacking. He was held at gunpoint for almost an hour and a half and verbally harassed before the hijackers dropped him off in a veld in Centurion.
Since the kidnapping, Pickford and his sister Ross have approached – and been approached by – dozens of concerned citizens and companies who want to help put the syndicate behind bars. Their new organisation, ENOUGH!, was formed to combat police corruption, abuse and harassment.
Ross said the organisation planned to help equip citizens with the tools they needed to exercise their rights when dealing with police and create a platform where victims of police abuse could share their experiences without fear of retribution.
ENOUGH! has received support from other crime-fighting campaigns – Justice Project SA and eBlockwatch – and has raised the growing reward for the successful arrest and conviction of the police officers who have helped the syndicate.
“If we can save another family from going through the same ordeal, we’ve done our job,” Ross told The Star.“For the rest of his life, Ryan won’t ever be able to drive without looking over his shoulder.
"Trusting police is becoming impossible, and we want to help drivers to know their rights,” she said.
Their website, http://www.enough.co.za, will be going live later this week, but their Facebook group (facebook.com/enoughsa) has already built up a dedicated following since its launch last week.
Gauteng police’s head of visible policing, Major General Phumzo Gela, warned Joburgers against pulling over in deserted areas, especially by police officers in unmarked vehicles.
Gela said that it was well within a driver’s right to drive to the nearest police station when being pursued by police vehicles – marked or unmarked. Police officers were also obligated to show their identity cards when asked for them.
ENOUGH!’s first initiative is to distribute car stickers with the slogan: “This vehicle only stops at police stations. You are welcome to follow me there!”
But Pickford and Ross believe that extra incentive will be needed to convict the men responsible and have offered the large reward.
Anyone with queries or information on the police officers involved can e-mail info@enough. co.za

Boer geslaan, foto's by lyk geneem
Buks Viljoen
Hierna is hy in ’n ander hut aangehou.
Kapt.
Hierna is hy in ’n ander hut aangehou.

“Dina is ’n emosionele wrak.
“Sy was ’n groot Christen.”

Woman and baby killed in Delmas
Johannesburg - A day-mother and a five-month-old baby boy were found strangled in Delmas on Wednesday, Mpumalanga police said.
The mother of the baby repeatedly telephoned the 66-year-old woman’s house and, when there was no answer, went to see if something was wrong, said Colonel Leonard Hlathi.
She arrived to find the doors locked and heard an 18-month-old girl crying inside. She broke a window to get into the house, said Hlathi.
The day-mother's body was found under a carpet in an outside room. The baby's body was found under a bed in the main house.
Both appeared to have been strangled, said Hlathi.
The motive for the killings was not known. - Sapa

“My man het die heeltyd geskreeu: ‘Is julle orraait, is julle orraait.’
Een van hulle se woorde was: “We will be back soon.”
“Ek is baie bekommerd oor haar.
Hy was hul held, vertel sy.
Vrou leef in vrees
“Hy het gesê: ‘Blood, blood, blood’ en toe ‘Come back, come back’.”

Hell breaks out in Heilbron: ten fires within few days: nursery, homes, cars, library torched: no motives: all properties belong to Afrikaners
Description
HELL BREAKS OUT IN HEILBRON; TEN FIRES SET WITHIN A FEW DAYS: NURSERY, HOMES, CARS TORCHED - ALL THE TORCHED PROPERTIES BELONG TO AFRIKANERS.
-----------
Fires were set at ten different places in Heilbron in past 2 days - the police and community are pleading for help on Facebook to help 'fight the hell which has broken out'. Fears are that the arsonists will not be caught: Agri-SA spokesmen said they were still investigating the mystery-fires, and the news media have been unable to get any explanations from the local SAPS: Heilbron Phone: 058-8535245 Fax: 058-8521170.
The Heilbron Herald reports that on Tuesday night a car belonging to the local pharmacist Jolene Herbst was torched; that same night a fire was set at TrenTyre in which a car was burnt out. Early Thursday-morning eight different fires were set: at a guesthouse in Heil Street two vehicles were set alight: an Isuzu bakkie and Honda Ballade were completely burned out. Around the same time a local plant-nursery raised the fire alarm: arsonists threw burning material through a window. Fortunately the building was saved.
A thatched-roof building was also set alight but didn't burn: people often don't realise that old, closely-packed thatch roofs do not contain any oxygen and do not burn nearly as easily as is believed.
Several private homes, a hardware shop, the library and a petrol-station also were torched. All were suspected arson, and no thefts or robbery-attacks were reported in these incidents.
Rumours are that children are often seen running from the sites after fires were started, but nobody has been able to confirm this by catching them. It's also not clear what the motives of these criminals are nor in most cases, what their exact methods are to start the fires with.
The Heilbron police has not responded to requests by Maroela Media to respond to the fires which are terrifying local residents.

Malvern woman, 92, tied up, found half-naked, dead surrounded by pics of her family, lived in same house for 70 years
Description
Malvern woman, 92, found tied up, murdered, was half-naked, police believe the old lady was also raped - surrounded by pictures of her family, lived in home 70 years...
"There was dry blood on her mouth and it seemed like she had been strangled. It is also believed that she was raped. We are investigating this. The house was also in a mess with drawers that were ripped out and clothes lying on the floor,” said Const Mashakane.
May 18 2012 MALVERN, Johannesburg. Beeld journalists Louise Ferreira and Jani Meyer report that the body of a 92-year-old white woman was found, tied up and murdered.
The woman had lived in this home for 70 years. She was found murdered in the living room amongst the photographs of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The heart-rending discovery was made by a neighbour on Wednesday, who went to investigate after her family contacted him, worried about not hearing anything from her.
Her name is being withheld until all her family have been notified. Her grandson said from Durban that his grandmother
had been very dapper (op en wakker) and even still mowed her own lawn.
"She was small and relatively frail, but dignified and houseproud. She was a real lady.
"Whenever she went shopping she put a scarf around her hair, put on a broche and catch the bus to the shops'.
She had been attacked twice in the past six months in her home in Persimmon Street.
Both times she was tied up. "We installed an alarm with an emergency button and installed a pallisade-fence two months ago.
The family tried to convince her to move to a safer place, but she refused.'
"We are told that four black men were involved in the attack on her day before yesterday.
"We presume they took everything left of any value. Her body was found in the living room where she was surrounded by pictures of her children, great- and great-great-grandchildren'.

Six police officers in three vans arrived to arrest Ivan Montgomery after false claim that his dogs had bitten a girl
Description
An elderly white SA man, Ivan Montgomery, from Universitas in Bloemfontein, Free State, was arrested by six police officers who arrived at high speed in front of his house, stormed in, arrested him, and locked in a police cell with 20 other criminals - because it was alleged his dog had bitten a 'little girl". The next day, he was taken to the court in leg-irons. The public prosecutor refused to place his case on the court-log and Mr Montgomery was released by the court. There were no apologies from the police.
A week before the arrest, "a man and a little girl" came to his house and stated that one of his dogs bit the little girl. She had three stitches on her inner thigh. He said that it could not have been his dogs, since his two little dogs always were locked inside his yard and there was no possibility they could have escaped.
On the day of his arrest, THREE POLICE VEHICLES, WITH SIX POLICEMEN arrived at his house. He was arrested and taken to the Parkway Police Station and locked up in a cell with 20 serious offenders.
The next day HE WAS TAKEN TO COURT IN LEG-IRONS. The prosecutor for the State decided not to prosecute and he was released, without appearing in court.
Mr Montgomery was severely traumatized by the experience - one which he did not deserve.
His lawyer has confirmed that they are preparing to sue the Police.
Capt. Chaka Marope, police spokesperson said they are investigating the incident and will comment later.

Two men who were searching for scrap metal in a sugar cane field spotted clothing and what they feared was a body on the banks of the Tongaat river near Brake Village on Monday. Terrified, the men ran away and went to the road where they stopped Kenny Govender, an officer of Reaction Unit South Africa, who just happened to pass by en-route to central Tongaat. He accompanied the men to the scene. The men told Govender that on Sunday, at about 2PM, they were collecting scrap metal in a sugar cane field, near Brake Village. They spotted the clothes in the water and fled the scene out of fear.
Head of RUSA, Prem Balram said, “Officer Govender travelled approximately 500 meters on a dirt road towards the river where he noticed a body in the water.
"He then called for further assistance and more reaction officers responded. The officers then walked along the river and found a body lying in the water.
"The body was clothed and decomposing. The victim was cllad in a blue jeans and yellow shirt. "A reaction officer was then posted to guard the body and hand it over to the South African Police”.
The case has been handed over to the Tongaat Police: tel Phone: 032-9449901 Fax: 032-9449931

Boewe met blou lig kaap talle motoriste
Jani Meyer
As dit ’n wetsgehoorsame beampte is, sal hy jou volg.”
Sommige mense maak eers die volgende dag of ’n paar uur later ’n klag aanhangig.”

Vrou bid, rower sterf kort daarna
Susan Cilliers
Albei is in hul 60’s.

Richard Duxbury, 35, shot dead on M5 Durban by alleged 'trucker road-rager' Feb 29 2012: accused in court
Description
Richard Duxbury, 35, was shot dead in his bakkie by an alleged "trucker-road rager" on Feb 29 2012 on the M5 southbound Durban road. ON May 9 2012, truck driver Mohammed Cassim Abdul Suther appeared in court for the murder. His legal counsel said Suther, who is facing several charges had 'fled the scene unaware that anyone had been shot". In an affidavit read out by his lawyer during the bail application hearing in the Durban Magistrate’s Court last Friday, Mr Suther said he had "accidentally shot Richard Duxbury (35) in self-defence on February 29."
Mr Suther claims to have been confronted and attacked by two men on the M4 southbound after a bakkie had swerved in front of his truck. The court heard that as Mr Suther approached a bend on the freeway, he saw two men holding what looked like ‘stakes or clubs’ standing in the middle of his lane, signalling him to stop. He was forced to stop and the two men jumped on to the truck, one at the driver’s door and the other at the passenger door.
Mr Suther said the men tried to hit him while he was still seated inside the cab. He pulled out his gun, saying: ‘I have a gun, now leave me alone’. However, according to Mr Suther, while he was pointing the firearm at the man on his right, the one to his left hit his hand, causing the gun to go off.The men, according to the statement, had 'jumped off the truck' and Mr Suther drove off.
However, Public prosecutor Shaina Naidoo said Mr Suther "had also fired shots at a car that had been trailing him after the incident". She added that "Mr Suther did not report the incident nor that a shot had been fired to the police or to his employer." Naidoo also said that Mr Suther 'did not come forward after the incident, despite extensive exposure in the media". Ms Naidoo also argued that if given bail, Mr Suther may abscond."
Never get out of your car and confront an angry driver, warned his sister GILLIAN JONES, on her facebook page. "He shot my brother in the head...'

Unarmed Stephen Coetzee, 22, murdered in his driveway Umdoni Grove, Warner Beach, Amanzimtoti
Description
THE murder of Stephen Coetzee, 22, an Afrikaner motorbike enthusiast from Amanzimtoti in KZN, has sparked outrage in the south Durban suburb.
----------------------------
Mandy Singleton wrote on the Toti-Crime facebook page: -- " An update on the late Steven Coetzee to stop the malicious rumours making the rounds....On Friday, 11 May, my son, Jacques, went to his friend Steven Coetzee's house, about 2 blocks away from where we stay. About 15 minutes later (17H30) I received a call from Jacques.
He was hysterical and all he said was “Get an ambulance, Steven has been shot and is lying bleeding between my feet I phoned the SAP in Toti………………No-one answered I phoned 911 …………….. I received a lecture about how illegal it is for a MTN user to misuse this number .. I eventually hung up as I could no longer listen to the droning voice, stating the obvious, with obviously no intention of connecting me to a “human” I phone 10111……….. I was given some options (press 1 for an emergency, press 2 for blablabla….) I pressed one and listened to some music until I felr that my head will explode and put the phone down. Then I started the entire process again, but at the same time getting my father to phone from his phone…..any emergency number he could possible find………….. he too had no luck In-between calls I phoned my daughter to also try and get hold of someone. To make a long, agonising, horrible story short, the ambulance is still to come………. One police vehicle pitched up when the paramedic from Netcare that my daughter happens to know and phoned in desperation, picked up something about the incident on their radio’s……
Anyway, I needed to tell you the above as I need you to be aware of the fact that “WE ARE ON OUR OWN”… there is ZERO hep for us out there, so do not be fooled. After waiting for help for nearly 30 minutes, Steven was taken to hospital with a car by Jacques and two neigbours. He died after 2 hours. He was 23, finished his studies last year, started working this year and had big plans for the future.I sat in the bus this morning listening to the distorted versions of what happened, so here is true story, for those interested. Jacques got to Steven’s house and they went to the garage behind the house, where the always fooled around with an old Volkswagen Steven was “building up” His father, Steven Snr, joined them. At 17H30 a man came strolling casually up the driveway and around the corner to where the 3 were standing. They were quite surprised and Steven Snr asked the man if they can be of assistance to him or if he is looking for someone maybe……….. The man pulled out a gun and waved it in the the faces of the 3, instructing them to still and to stand still. Which they did. At the same time, while they had the gun in their faces, another 2 men strolled up the driveway and headed to the backdoor which is about 3 meters away. Steven Snr’s girlfriend, his young son and his girlfriend’s 5 year old daughter was in the house.Seeing them going towards his house and family, Steven Snr OBVIOUSLY panicked as we all know what would have happened next if they were allowed to enter the house unobstructed, he picked up a “tool”, similar to a crow bar and threw it towards the 2 men entering the house. The two men, surprised that they are actually being confronted, turned away from the front door and ran down the driveway. The gunman kept the gun pointed at the 3 men but also ran backwards down the driveway. When a “bang” was heard, the three ”victims” started walking forward to see what is happening. The garage is around the corner, so the driveway is not visible from there. What they saw was this:
Two men ran and got into a Silver Toyota Verso that was parked on the opposite side of the road.
One man was already in the driver’s seat and one man in the passenger’s seat of Steven Snr’s car. (Which he only got about 3 months ago after his previous car was HIJACKED!!!)The gunman was in the boot of the car.The “bang” that was heard was as a result of the driver reversing into a small step and bursting the back tyre.At this time Steven Snr ran to the car and trapped the man behind the wheel. Steven Jnr was next to reach the car.
At this stage the gunman got out of the boot and point blank shot Steven Jnr through the head. They all ran away.
I am going to spare you the details as they are more horrible than you can ever imagine.Apart from losing a boy that was like a son to me, I now have a son that can “crack” at any moment. Please, do not be in denial, no-one is safe in this country now. Not even in your own house or back-yard...
Rest in peace Steven! https://www.facebook.com/mandy.singleton

Hundreds of residents met on Monday May 15 2012 to discuss ways to tackle 'crime'.
Stephen Coetzee, 22, was shot dead outside his home on Friday evening as he was fixing his car.
A group of black males approached him in his driveway in Umdoni Grove, Warner Beach, and threatened Coetzee with a gun before trying to steal his Ford Fiesta.
However the black driver of the gang's vehicle then reversed into a wall, at which point Coetzee threw a spanner at them. He was shot in the head. He was taken to Kingsway Hospital and died later that day. No arrests had been made. About 300 residents met yesterday and, assisted by the private Crime Community Prevention Organisation (CCPO), put together a petition which will be handed to the area's police station commander. Ward councillor Andre Beetge said if hadn't been for private law enforcement agencies' "tremendous difference" there would be "anarchy". He called for greater community participation in fighting crime. Beetge urged residents to get involved in fighting crime, but emphasised that they should not take the law into their own hands.
"What they should do is turn the talk into action by getting to know their neighbours and acquainting themselves with their immediate environment." "People always think: 'It's not going to happen to me,' " said Quinton Rutherford, a CCPO committee member. "Hijacking is not the only problem;
housebreakings are also a problem."

Krugersdorp Afrikaner business community collapsing: families moving to Coronation Park squatter camp
Description
Krugersdorp Afrikaner squatter camp: the daily battle for survival has become a grinding way of life
------------------
May 11 2012 - Suffering from a decade of chronic malnutrition and disease, the -- by now infamous Afrikaner squatter camp residents in Krugersdorp – who won their widely-publicised battle with the ANC-municipality against forced removal -- now has divided into two factions with two strong leaders in an uneasy truce.
In a news update by local carers who visit the camp they also noted that local Afrikaner business people are failing and moving their families into the camp as well.
- After their battle stop the local ANC-regime from forcibly removing them, the camp residents now have split into two factions: One faction is run by ‘Willem’ who uses the Christian Communal Survival approach, whereby all the residents share the daily cash they earn from odd jobs and selling homemade items, buy their food together, cook in a communal kitchen and pray together each morning for courage to survive another day…
--- Alet (GoudveldGriffon@gmail.com ) writes: “I was at the squatter camp near Krugersdorp and send some new photos. Not many of the people themselves, just their dwellings. I think all the Afrikaners living in the camp are sick and tired of being photographed all the time. I went with Gideon Van Deventer gideon8steps@telkomsa.net of Riebeeckstad who has started several projects to help people become self-sufficient by making fire-lighters, t-shirts and ragdolls: the Heavenly Christian Tees project: http://www.heavenlychristiantees.co.za/cp/10023/fig-leaf-raggedies
FLASHBACK: The Afrikaner squatters’ battles with the Krugersdorp ANC-council were recorded by many international journalists, amongst them the Australian photo-journalist Dean Saffron
Today, the municipality no longer ‘hassles’ the Afrikaners, also because a group of black squatters has taken up occupancy in one corner of the former municipal campsite, writes Alet of Goudveld Griffon. She visited the camp two days ago with Gideon van Deventer of Riebeeckstad and sent us this latest update.
Gideon van Deventer says he looks for people with 'fire' who can be taught to become self-supporting. He launched several projects: residents are making firelighters, t-shirts and ragdolls to sell.
--------------
Business people moving in their families from wealthier part of town:
Alet reports that the demographics of the camp have also changed dramatically: previously, most camp residents were low-wage, low-education working class Afrikaners, many ex-mineworkers and fired railway employees who lost their jobs because of the ANC’s black-economic-empowerment laws which bar whites from the job market.
- Now, new arrivals show the steady decline of the Afrikaner business community: with the ANC-regime barring any business without black CEOs from doing business, newly destitute ex-businessmen from a wealthy Krugersdorp suburb now also are moved in with their young families: two men are terminally ill with cancer and go to the local public hospital for chemo-treatment each month. One little girl’s mom has already died: now she faces losing her dad too.
- Two factions –two very different approaches to survival:
Alet notes that the two factions amongst the Afrikaners use two very different approaches to survive each day: One group demands that all the donations of food and cash go to their leader Irene Abbott (sister of the boxer) and her partner; the other group headed by ‘Willem’ is approaching their grinding povery in the communal-Christian way: teaming up and sharing their cash earned each day and sharing their food – women sew items to sell such as t-shirts and ragdolls; the men go out to earn cash with odd jobs each day and to sell homemade items – and with the cash buy food to share out amongs them all. This group – denied access to the only electricity-point by the Abbott clan - cook their food in an open communal kitchen and hold prayer meetings each morning to give them courage for the day ahead. They made a home-made boiler called a ‘donkie’ (below) to boil their water on. And they’ve scrounged some old-electricity generators which one skilled mechanic keeps running each day.
-------------------
The donkie: Krugersdorp Afrikaner squatter camp has split into two factions: one faction refuses the other faction access to the only electricity-access point so the Christian faction made its own hot water boiler, runs a communal open-air kitchen and repaired some scrounged electricy-generators.

‘ Sewage runs though a section of the camp: and the Afrikaner residents are sick and tired of photographers… ‘
There’s the constant health-hazard to the children of sewage running through the camp: but also new hope in Gideon’s cash-creating manufacture of rag-dolls, t-shirts and firelighters…
Alet: “The camp has over the years become quite infamous because the ANC-regime wanted to forcibly remove them to 'clean up the landscape' just before the Fifa World Cup football tournaments - and they put up quite a fight, one which the municipality lost. It originally was just a caravan-park but people started moving their when they lost their jobs and it's become an 'informal settlement'. During the battles of 2010 some people sold their little caravans and moved to escape the violence. When they heard that the municipality had given up trying to forcibly remove them, they returned and put up little shanties amongst the caravans. The majority of the adults are low-wage workers with little formal education who lost their jobs years ago - but amongst the latest arrivals also are business people.
-----------------
Business people who lost everything now are moving in:
Two new camp residents are men who are suffering from terminal cancer and sold their belongings to help pay for the medical care when their health-insurance stopped paying. One man was a well-known Krugersdorp businessman who lived in the 'wealthier' part of town. With his illness he also fell into poverty. He's too ill to work and tries to survive on handouts.
Once a month he gets chemo-treatment at a public hospital.
- There's also an Indian woman who was kicked out of her community because she became a Christian. And in one corner of the camp a group of black squatters was taken in 'for political reasons': after they moved in, the Krugersdorp municipality stopped harassing the Afrikaners.
--------------
The unhealthy conditions are growing: sewage runs through one part of the camp. And it's divided into two factions: one headed by Irene (the sister of boxer Jimmy Abbott). This couple also have control of the only municipal electricity-point in the camp and won't let others use it. Irene rules her clan with an iron hand and demands that all the clan’s donations must be handed to her and her partner Hugo.
The other section of the camp is comprised of Willem and his people - Christian folk. They have set up a communal kitchen and his people go out each day to do odd jobs and earn cash. Those who earn some money, buys food for the rest. They have also teamed up to buy little power-generators and do their laundry in washing machines. They boil water in a home-made 'donkie' (boiler) and cook over open fires. There's a team of kindergarden-children: one three-year-old girl's dad also suffers from terminal cancer and her mom died last year.
The father is making arrangements with the local welfare people to have his child adopted in case of his death.

And he's also started the Heavenly Christian Tees project: t-shirts and pre-printed ragdolls which the women and girls can sew. http://www.heavenlychristiantees.co.za/cp/10023/fig-leaf-raggedies
Gideon says he looks for people with 'fire' who can be taught to become self-supporting.Not everyone in the camp has the energy and courage left to do so. Many have been living in this hopeless condition for so long that they now just live from day to day.

Meagre pensions, no food-aid, low child-benefits:
The majority of the people in this camp are too young to get any kind of old-age pensions. Some of them do get disability pensions. The women can put in claims for child-benefits, which are very low cash amounts. During the day most of the men leave the camp to seek odd jobs such as cleaning and gardening and some go on the streets to sell handmade items.

Mrs Susan van Biljon, Afrikaner farm wife, black group kicked in her backdoor, tied her up, beat her up, she survived: four cats poisoned
Description
Mrs Susan van Biljon, Afrikaner farm wife: survives farm attack:
Marlene Jordaan - Volksblad - in the fourth farm attack within 10 days in the northern Free State alone, 67-year-old Mrs Susan Van Biljon was attacked by a black male gang which kicked in her door; tied her up, beat her up and threatened to pour boiling water over her. She survived. They had put out poison for the guard-dogs but four cats died of it instead.
Christo Jansen van Rensburg, 36, also was petrolbombed inside his bakkie as he was ambushed at his farm gake, And Cookie and Meisie Oosthuizen, 69 and 68, of a Koppies farm escaped being shot dead during an ambush; near Bothaville two security guards were attacked by a black-male gang during an attack against disabled 95-year-old veteran-farmer Frikkie Rautenbach, 95. The attackers used hammers.
Mrs Susan van Biljon runs a farm-shop at her homestead. Pieter Farrel, a security consultant, said he received her emergency call at 21:43. From the time they attacked her to the time she phoned me for help, they turned over the interior of her homestead, plucked her around, tied her up to a chair, and threatened to boil her alive with boiling water. They demanded that she give them money and robbed R200 in cash, cellphone airtime coupons and the container of a computer.
She managed to free herself from her bonds and called Farrel on her cellphone. Farrel said SAPS w/o Belinda Mitchell and sergeant O.B. Oberholzer of the Sasolburg dog-unit arrived very quickly in their private vehicles after they were alerted.
Transvaal agricultural union spokesman for the Free State, Bertus van der Westhuizen, expressed his concern about the apparent increase of armed attacks by black male gangs on farms and smallholdings in the northern Free State region.
He surmised that 'syndicates' were involved in these organised attacks. 'The fact that sixty or more heads of cattle are rustled at one time is no longer extraordinary. The question is whether the livestock-theft unit of the SAPS has the capacity to combat this threat?"
Each town should have a security-structure which would be prepared to cooperate with the local police and to, if necessary, even serve under the command of the SAPS. Only then do we have an opportunity to combat this scourage. The TLU expressed gratitutude for the fact that Mrs Van Biljon was not serious injured nor tortured - and thanked the police, the Heilbron citizens' self-defence unit and the Sasolburg police-dog unit for their rapid response. A team of skilled field-trackers was put on the trail of the attack-gang, said Farrel. SAPS brig Billy Jones of the Free State provincial police was not available to comment on the question whether there had been an increase in farm-attacks and livestock rustling.
------------------------------------
It must be noted that the SAPS does NOT maintain seperate statistics for farm-attacks, nor do they maintain demographic statistics of any crimes, with the government maintaining a policy claiming that 'these are all just ordinary crimes' and should not be maintained on seperate records.

Ma oorleef skoot in huisroof
Marlene Jordaan
“Toe ek opstaan, skiet hy ’n skoot tussen my bene in die blokkiesvloer. Hulle het my geklap dat my bril van my gesig trek en my horlosie van my arm af gevat. Toe gryp hulle ons selfone. My vrou wou opstaan, toe klap hy haar om. Die skoot se klap was oorverdowend.”

“Toe ek opstaan, skiet hy ’n skoot tussen my bene in die blokkiesvloer. Hulle het my geklap dat my bril van my gesig trek en my horlosie van my arm af gevat. Toe gryp hulle ons selfone. My vrou wou opstaan, toe klap hy haar om. Die skoot se klap was oorverdowend.”
- Volksblad
‘Two cops hijacked me’
His head was shoved between his legs, a handgun was jabbed into his ribs and another stuck against his temple – Ryan Pickford was convinced he was going to die.
The most recent victim of a blue-light gang, Pickford was held at gunpoint on Friday night for two hours by men claiming to be police officers – in full police uniform.
Pickford had just visited his wife and three-week-old son, who is in high care at the Morningside clinic, on Friday evening when the terrifying experience began that would see him lose his Porsche, his dignity and his trust in the police.
Driving past Leeuwkop Prison on Main Road in Bryanston just before 8pm, Pickford noticed a white Golf GTI following him. The vehicle’s blue lights began flashing, signalling him to pull over.
Two men dressed in police uniforms, wearing bullet-proof vests and wielding R5 rifles insisted on searching his car. During what the men called a “routine search”, another man wearing a police bib approached Pickford’s car from the side of the road.
Pickford, 35, then called his sister to tell her that the police were threatening to arrest him if he did not accompany them to the nearest roadblock for a breathalyser test.
When he agreed, but said he would drive his own car, Pickford was told he was going to be arrested. When he asked why, one of the “officers” handcuffed him and pushed him into the back seat of the Golf.
He watched helplessly as the man in the police bib climbed into his Porsche and drove off. Seated between two other men, who were not in police uniform but wielding handguns, his captors informed him that he was being hijacked. While the two men in the back seat pushed his head down with black-gloved hands, the two uniformed hijackers sat in the front. One started the car and began driving.
Pickford pleaded for his life, saying they could have his car. “I told them about my two kids and wife, and how I needed to be with them.”
At first, the men were reassuring, telling him he wouldn’t be hurt if he didn’t “f*** up”, and that their own children needed to survive as well. But when his sister began calling on his cellphone, the two handguns were pointed at his head and heart. He was told to tell his sister that he was with the police and that nothing was wrong.
After 30 minutes of driving, being interrogated about the cars he drove and his banking details, Pickford began to get anxious. The men were getting increasingly hostile, telling him he would be shoved into the car’s boot, dropped off in the centre of Alexandra, or killed, if he did not co-operate.
“I felt a strange calmness, and I just felt like this was going to be the end,” he said.
He asked why police officers would do this. Pickford remembers saying how he said they were meant to “serve and protect”, a statement that offended his hijackers.
“Who do you think we are? Your servants?” the driver asked.
At around 10pm, the men pulled over in the veld in Centurion, took his watch and cellphone, and told him to run deep into the veld and lie down. Pickford said he thought this would be the moment he would be killed, having seen his hijackers’ faces. But after lying down for several minutes, the men sped off.
Exhausted and trembling, Pickford made his way to a nearby warehouse, where he found security guards, who did their best to help him. It was after midnight by the time he had filed his case with the Midrand SAPS.
A traumatised Pickford is convinced it was police officers who committed the crime – not impersonators. Pickford said he recognised the face of one as a policeman at another roadblock.
“I swore to myself I wouldn’t just lie down and take this… If I can help to save another life (by reporting the case to police), then I will keep pushing this.
“You’re meant to trust them, like doctors or teachers. How will I ever stop at a roadblock again?”
Tracker investigators think a syndicate is at work in the northern suburbs targeting expensive cars. Speaking on condition of anonymity, an investigator said there had been eight high-end vehicle hijackings in the past three weeks.
Police spokesman Katlego Mogale was not available for comment.

Zimbabwe-style Land-occupation at Komatipoort: large group of violent blacks ordered farmer, workers to leave:
Description
On May 8 2012 a large farm near Komatipoort was suddenly occupied by a large group of very aggressive, young black males. They chased the caretaker-farmer off the land together with all the workers. These families were forced to leave all their belongings behind.
------------------------------------
Occupation of farm near Komatipoort - Statement by Transvaal Agricultural union:
TAU SA did its best to gain insight in the case where blacks arrived on a farm near Komatipoort and ordered the farmer to leave the property. The farmer is not a TAU SA member. The farm in question has apparently been transferred to a new owner after a claim was lodged. The new owner apparently also entered into a contract leasing the farm to a farmer who continued with his activities. According to information a difference of opinion arose because the new owner was not acquainted with the implications of the contract and decided to remove the occupants. TAU SA is satisfied that in this case the police acted effectively and prevented a Zimbabwe-style occupation, without supporting the aggressive stance of the protestors.
TAU SA is however deeply concerned about the levels of aggression displayed by the crowd which reminds of similar occurrences in Zimbabwe.
Although an apparent misunderstanding took place, the emotions were running high, the police conducted themselves in a professional manner.
This development again emphasises how important it is for farmers to involve themselves in organised agriculture.
Where they are united in a structure, similar situations could be resolved in good time. TAU SA therefore calls on farmers to join the agricultural union.

Rowers skiet man dood wat sy suster red
Riata Nel
Haar broer was toe weg.
Hy was dood.”
Nico se ma, Michelle, sy broer Dawie, Lieja en Tanja was by die huis toe hy vermoor is.
Sy pa, Nico sr., werk in Rustenburg. Hy is inderhaas terug huis toe toe hy hoor sy kind is vermoor.
“Skote is afgevuur. Die honde was buite.”

Elderly Afrikaans couple tied up, beaten: husband in serious condition with cracked skull:
Description
Elderly Van Riebeeck Park, Kempton Park couple beaten up in Magalies Street - police makes quick arrest of three black males thanks to alert house-painter next door
8 May 2012 SAPS sergeant Johanna Madiga of the Norkem Park SAPS (Phone: 011-570 9000 Fax: 011-570 9240) said they have arrested three black men thanks to the diligence of a house-painter who warned them.
The three men are accused of beating up an unnamed elderly Afrikaner man, 65, who was in his lounge in Magaliesberg Street at 2pm. His wife was in the garden. The old Afrikaner was grabbed by the throat and ordered to keep quiet while some of the other men dragged his wife from the garden into the house. They then tied up the couple and THEN bashed in the helpless man's head 'with an unknown object', said the SAPS spokeswoman. He is in serious condition at hospital.
The attackers then looted various items including their GUN -- LOCKED AWAY INTO THE GUN SAFE -- from the couple. They tried to drive away with the couple's car but the alarm went off.
They abandoned the car and while fleeing on foot through a neighbour's yard a painter working there alerted the house owner.
The police said they arrested one of the three men near the house as they arrived on the scene very quickly.
They arrested the other two men the next day in Alexandra. These two still had the couple's stolen firearm in their possession. (Source SAPS Phone: 011-570 9000 Fax: 011-570 9240)

Priester erg aangeval
Jana Breytenbach
KAAPSTAD.

VS-man flenters gekap
Meyer het in Bloemfontein by sy vriendin me.
Mnre.

Mnre. Ntuli Athus, Pangele Anthonio, Zulu Mahlabe en Zunguza Samuel, almal in hul vroeë twintigs, moet weer volgende week in die hof verskyn ná die jongste aanval.

Aanval op bekende boer se plaas
Marlene Jordaan
BOTHAVILLE.
Stephen Thakeng, polisiewoordvoerder.

"Pistool kliek; egpaar spring dood vry"
2012-04-27 Mnr. Cookie Oosthuizen (69) en sy vrou, Meisie (68).
Jana van der Merwe - “KLIEK. Kliek.”
Mnr.
“My ma is oukei, my pa is oukei. Ons is so dankbaar. Mens verwag nie so iets nie.”Sers.

Afrikaans parents, children in Centurion, Wierdabrug, Valhalla schools parking lots targets of aggressive smash grab gangs
Description
Afrikaans parents, children in Centurion, Wierda Park, Valhalla school parking lots targets of aggressive smash and grab gangs
20 April 2012 -- Wierdabrug police: (Phone: 012-6544031 Fax: 012-6548857) -- Aggressive thieves smash car windows and grab the articles from vehicles. Afrikaans Primary school Swartkop in Valhalla had recently become one of the main centres of attraction for these thieves.
According to ward councillor Ina Strijdom, the attackers operate in groups. One stays in a get-away vehicle while the others do ‘shopping’.
Strijdom added that the Wierda Bridge community police forum (CPF) recorded five incidents since December 2011. Another two incidents were recorded since the start of schools in April 2012. These were only incidents that the CPF are aware of.
Strijdom urged parents to be careful.“You might think you are only leaving your vehicle for five minutes, but these criminals need only a few seconds to smash your window and steal your valuables. Parents should rather leave valuables locked away in the boot of their vehicles,” Strijdom said.
Strijdom was of the opinion that the thieves are moving between schools.“Once their modus operandi is clear to residents and the CPF, they move to the next school. We had similar incidents at Vhalliespark Primary School formerly known as Laerskool Valhalla. The thieves are opportunists looking out for soft targets,” she said.
Strijdom requested the Tshwane metro to erect Smash and Grab signs outside the school to alert parents.
Incidents of cell phone theft from pupils were also recorded and the children should also take care when walking in the streets to and from schools.
“I will try my utmost to assist the schools in my ward with regard to safety. The children are our future and we should protect them,” Strijdom said.
According to Carel Cronjé, principal of Laerskool Swartkop, he is concerned about the situation and urged parents and children to be alert at all time.
The CPF would be patrolling the area on a more regular basis.

Jeffrey's Bay butcher Deon Verwey murdered June 14 2009: trial from May 2 2012
Description
The murder trial for the suspects arrested for the murder of Jeffrey's Bay butcher Deon Verwey starts on 2 May 2012.
Mr Verwey, right, was murdered on June 14 2009 in Wavecrest, Jeffrey’s Bay. He was attacked, tied up and murdered by someone who broke into his home and stabbed him in the heart with a screwdriver, said his sister Annetta van der Merwe at the time.
He had just recently sold the Graslaagte butchery he’d owned in nearby Humansdorp. Apparent from the blood-trail in the house, police said at the time that appeared as if the injured Mr Verwey had struggled from the living room to the rear door where he managed to call to his sister, living next door, for help – even though he was tied up with a telephone cable. Police Insp. Marianette Olivier and called on the public to phone the investigating officer, at telephone 042 200 6833. His sister Mrs van der Merwe, who lived next door to Mr Verwey at the same site, told the news media her friend J H Potgieter woke up when he heard her brother call out for his sister, shouting “Netta, help!’ Her friend went to the house, looked through the window and saw her injured brother bent over at the window. He feared that the attacker was still in the house so he grabbed a garden shovel and rushed over. “By that time my brother was sitting on a chair, and was calling for me to bring the car to take him to hospital’. However her brother died enroute in the car and was declared dead on arrival at the Humansdorp hospital. “In February we still were so shocked about the cruel murder on Mrs Cecile Potgieter (on Feb 20 2009), and little did we know that my brother would be next,” she said.

February 20, 2009: Businesswoman Cecile Potgieter murdered in Jeffrey’s Bay
Mrs Cecile Potgieter, 51, a local businesswoman, was murdered on February 20 2009. She was bludgeoned to death after she was already seriously injured from torture-stab wounds. She was tortured to force her into transferring R10,000 from her bank account to a post-office savings account which was in the name of her now convicted killer, Franklin Stuurman, 24, a local gardener. The second defendant was a 16-year-old girl, his girlfriend, whose trial was split from his in October 2009 in the Port Elizabeth High Court. The16-year-old girl was also convicted for the role she played in Mrs Potgieter’s horrific death.

According to evidence during Stuurman’s trial, he was found hiding in the ceiling of Mrs Potgieter’s home, with a part of the murder weapon and Mrs Potgieter’s stolen laptop and camera.“

Jeffrey’s Bay not nearly as safe as the tourist brochures claim.
-- Jeffrey’s Bay, is world-famous as the world's ‘surfer’s paradise, the South African town featured as the beach-resort with the longest wave in the cult-surfing movie "An Endless Summer".
More than half its residents are owners of second holiday-homes who only occupy them during the holiday seasons. And they let their guard down on holiday. Yet, as these two murders above of two Jeffrey’s Bay business leaders have shown, the peaceful-looking, stunning seaside scenery hides a community which is increasingly being plunged into criminal gang violence – exactly as is happening in the rest of South Africa. SAPS
Theuns and Suzann Potgieter of Jeffrey’s Bay survived armed attack against PE casino:
Many people who go on vacation let down their guard at beach resorts like this, yet many families are frequently targetted by crime gangs who break into their cottages, rob, assault, often rape and kill them. And Jeffrey’s Bay holiday-makers who want to have a fun night out at the nearby Port Elizabeth casino also better be careful – it may be a glamorous fun venue but it also draws the big money, and hence has become a drawing card for criminal gangs. Theuns and Suzann Potgieter of Jeffrey’s Bay also wanted to have such a fun night out at the casino when six armed men burst in while the couple were gambling inside with thousands of others – and the crowd fled in panic when hearing the shots as the gang attacked. The couple was lucky to make their escape they said: one of the gang members, the now convicted Lovemore Dube, 28, took three staff members hostage after he became trapped in a cashier‘s office when the door slammed shut – and he eventually surrended. CCTV footage later revealed that the other five men made their escape right in the middle of the fleeing crowds as the casino was being evacuated…

Even Jeffrey’s Bay post office was targetted by armed gangs several years ago: four armed men held all the customers and staff hostage and looted them. They got away with an unknown amount of cash and cellphones.

Residents are fighting back against crime
However, its residents are fighting back, recently setting up the Jeffrey’s Bay Community Police Forum, with its members warning that people must ‘thinking of Jeffrey’s Bay as a peaceful fisherman’s village…’
Renowned Jeffreys Bay artist Stephen Bibb joined the war against crime by donating one of his paintings to an individual or an organization that has signed up as a member by the end of June 2009. “Safety and security is an extremely emotive issue in this country, it is time that we all started coming together as communities and taking back the streets from this scourge that is sucking the life from this land” said Bibb, who is well known for his surf art. The artist urged people to join up with the CPF . “We are realizing very swiftly that the only way to stand up against these cowardly gangsters and brutal thugs, who prey on the decent and largely defenceless public, relying largely on our fear and our apathy, is to become involved in defending our communities in any way that we can”. “By joining the CPF and getting on the mailing list that’ll keep you up to date on what’s really happening in your community in the fight against crime.Becoming more vigilant and security-conscious, all of us will be contributing to the solution and helping the dedicated men and women who make our town and ultimately our country a safe place for all of us”.
